A/Prof Bindu Murali

A/Prof. Bindu Murali is a senior female gynaecologist, with over 20 years of experience.  She is extensively trained internationally and in Australia, with full accreditation from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). Due to the breadth of her experience, she is proficient in open and vaginal gynaecological surgery, as well as, laparoscopic and robotic-assisted gynaecological surgery. Using these skills, she has been serving women in the Illawarra region for over 10 years.  In addition to her private commitments, A/ Prof. Bindu Murali also works as a senior staff specialist at Wollongong and Shellharbour Public Hospitals. She is also the Academic and Clinical Lead for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the University of Wollongong. In these roles, she directs and delivers the Obstetrics & Gynaecology curriculum for medical students and supervises junior doctors. As a member of RANZCOG, A/ Prof. Bindu Murali is also active in the training of accredited specialist trainees and fellows. As a senior gynaecologist, A/ Prof. Bindu Murali also provides support and mentorship to junior specialists – especially in complex and challenging cases. She is a member of numerous professional societies and is highly regarded as a surgeon and academic. A/Prof. Bindu Murali is empathetic, meticulous, and dependable. Drawing upon her wealth of clinical experience and her ongoing engagement with academia, she is able to provide practical recommendations to her patients based on the latest evidence.
