Dr Bharati Vyawahare is a Consultant in Pain Medicine at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, based at Wythenshawe Hospital — a major teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Manchester. She completed her specialist training in Anaesthesia and a Fellowship in Pain Medicine in the North East of England.
Dr Vyawahare has a broad clinical practice encompassing musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, back pain, fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome, and post-surgical neuropathic pain. Her subspecialty interest is in pelvic pain, in which she leads the pelvic pain team across the Manchester University hospitals. She runs weekly multidisciplinary pelvic pain clinics at Wythenshawe Hospital. She manages and treats a wide range of general pain syndromes and complex pelvic pain conditions in both female and male adult patients. Dr Vyawahare is experienced in delivering a variety of interventional pain procedures, using both ultrasound and fluoroscopic (X-ray) guidance.

In addition to her clinical role, Dr Vyawahare is actively engaged in medical education. She is an undergraduate examiner for the University of Manchester and serves as a Pain Medicine Educational Supervisor for specialty trainees in the North West region. She contributes to national and international guidelines development through her roles on the Pelvic Pain Committee of the European Association of Urology (Uroweb.org) and the British Pain Society’s Visceral Pain Committee.
