About Miss Baydaa Abdulrahim
Miss Baydaa Abdulrahim is an NHS consultant gynaecologist and fertility lead at Lister Hospital, a post she has held since 2021. She offers a comprehensive service to those with fertility issues who may be trying to start a family and has expertise in IVF, ICSI, IUI, OI, egg donation and fertility preservation. She also specialises in the surgical management of gynaecological conditions that may affect fertility including endometriosis, ovarian cysts, fibroids, and uterine septum. Her passion for providing couples with personalised care means that she takes the time to understand each couple's unique circumstances before developing a tailored treatment plan. Miss Abdulrahim gained her medical degree in 2003 from the University of Baghdad and under took her junior doctor training years in Qatar, Hamad Medical Corporation. After earning her Arab Board in Health Specialisation in 2010, she moved to the UK, where she trained in various hospitals, becoming a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2013 following completion of her higher level specialty training. In addition to her other training she also undertook an MSc degree from the University of Aberdeen. She has also undertaken two years of fellowship training in reproductive medicine at the Aberdeen Centre for Reproductive Medicine.
