Dr Azhar Sheikh

Dr. Azhar Sheikh is a highly respected Senior Implant Dentist. He serves as a Director, lecturer, and presenter at the Practical Implantology Academy, where he imparts knowledge in dental implantology. His responsibilities include teaching, supervising, and mentoring implant surgery on patients. He frequently delivers lectures, presentations, and webinars to diverse audiences, contributing significantly to dental education. With a career spanning nearly four decades, Dr. Sheikh has played a pivotal role in the placement and restoration of thousands of Dental Implants, making him an expert in the field. His experience covers Dental Implants, Cosmetic Makeovers, Sedation, and General Dental Treatment. Additionally, he is highly skilled in complex procedures such as Bone Grafting, Sinus Grafting, and Bone Expansion surgeries. Dr. Sheikh's contributions to the dental community extend beyond clinical practice. He has been featured in radio interviews with the BBC and UK Health Matters, sharing his expertise and insights with a wider audience.  His journey in dentistry began in 1983 when he graduated from the University of Manchester. In 1984, he co-founded the London Dental Studio, where his passion for implantology flourished. Over the years, he continued to enhance his skills, working alongside renowned figures in both cosmetic and implant dentistry, including Prof. Hilt Tatum and Dr. Larry Rosenthal. Dr. Sheikh's implantology expertise includes various implant systems, including Bicon, Tatum, Astra, Osteoti, Osteocare, Osstem, Mini Implant (MDI), Intoss, and Nobel Biocare. He is recognised as the largest user of Osstem implants in the UK. As the co-founder of The London Dental Studio, Dr. Sheikh continues to deliver excellence in dentistry, particularly in the fields of implantology and cosmetic treatments.
