Dr. Ayman Helal is a highly experienced Senior Consultant ENT Surgeon with over 20 years of expertise in otorhinolaryngology. He holds an MS in ENT from Cairo University, MRCS in General Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and MRCS in ENT from the Royal College of Surgeons in England. In addition, he completed a prestigious Otolaryngology Fellowship at the University of Minnesota, USA.
Dr. Helal has worked extensively across leading hospitals in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, including Saad Specialist Hospital, Mediclinic, Phoenix Hospital, and Burjeel Royal Hospital, Al Ain, where he currently practises. His areas of expertise include otology and endoscopic ear surgery, advanced endoscopic sinus surgery, rhinology and septo-rhinoplasty, allergy and sleep medicine (including snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea), paediatric ENT surgery using coblation techniques, and the management of balance disorders.
Throughout his career, Dr. Helal has remained committed to advancing his surgical expertise, regularly attending international workshops, hands-on dissection courses, and specialist training programmes in Europe, the Middle East, and the USA. He has also presented at numerous scientific meetings and contributed to professional education in the field of ENT.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Helal is involved in teaching and mentoring. He has trained postgraduate medical students, ENT trainees, MRCS candidates, and allied health professionals, and continues to contribute to medical education and professional development in otolaryngology.
He is a member of multiple professional societies, including the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, the Syrian Society of ENT Head & Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery, the Inter-American Association of Pediatric Otolaryngology, PARS, and the Middle East Academy.
