Dr. Ayman El-Hattab worked in the USA (Baylor College of Medicine and University of Missouri), Saudi Arabia (King Fahad Medical City) and several hospitals in UAE. He currently practices at Mediclinic City Hospital, King's College Hospital, Neuropedia Children's Neuroscience Center, and Genesis Healthcare Center in Dubai; Kanad (Oasis Hospital) in Al Ain; KidsHeart Medical Center in Abu Dhabi, and University Hospital in Sharjah. He provides health care for adults and children with genetic and metabolic diseases or suspected to have these diseases. This includes conducting clinical evaluation, performing genetic tests, providing advice on management, and delivering genetic counseling for patients and families. He also encounters healthy individuals seeking genetic screening and counseling.
Dr. Ayman El-Hattab is also an Associate Professor at the College of Medicine in the University of Sharjah. He has a very active role in clinical research. He currently has more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals and had large number of presentations in several national and international conferences. He has also conducted several clinical trials. His field of research includes chromosomal abnormalities, inborn errors of metabolism (metabolic diseases), mitochondrial disorders, neurogenetic disorders, cancer genetics, and novel gene-disease discovery.
