Dr Anokha Oomman Joseph is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon with a strong focus on surgical innovation, education, and patient-centred care.
She graduated from King's College London in 2010 and completed her higher surgical training within the competitive London Deanery, achieving her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). Following this, she undertook the Surgical Leadership Programme at Harvard University on a scholarship, graduating with distinction.
Dr Joseph holds a Masters degree in Medical Education from Cardiff University and a Masters in Oncoplastic Surgery from University of East Anglia.
She is currently a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. Prior to this, she worked as a Surgical Registrar in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery at Barts Health NHS Trust and at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr Joseph is deeply involved in teaching and leadership. She serves as an Assistant Professor at St. George's University Grenada and is a final-year medical examiner for University College London. Within her NHS trust, she is the Simulation Lead, driving advancements in surgical training and faculty development.
Nationally, she was an Emerging Leader at the Royal College of Surgeons of England (2025). She has served on its Education Advisory Panel at the RCS, contributing to the future direction of surgical education in the UK.
