About Mr Andrew Walkden
Andrew graduated from Edinburgh Medical School in 2010 and has undertaken his general ophthalmic training in the North West deanery. After completing his general eye surgical training, he has undertaken additional subspecialist training fellowships in corneal, external eye disease and refractive surgery at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and following this, at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, both renowned ophthalmic units. He is also actively involved in research projects, having published his work in peer reviewed journals and presenting the outcomes at various national and international conferences. He currently has been involved with over 30 peer reviewed scientific papers. He is proud to be part of one of the best eye hospitals in the world, and he strives to be able to provide the best care possible to the patients of Manchester and beyond.
