About Mrs Amy Curran
Amy Curran is a specialist musculoskeletal podiatrist dedicated to treating patients from a wide variety of backgrounds. She graduated with a first-class honours degree in Podiatry from the University of Southampton and further advanced her expertise with a Master's degree in Podiatric Sports and Exercise Medicine from Queen Mary University in London. She is also a qualified expert witness affiliated with Cardiff University. Amy has a particular interest in biomechanical gait analysis, enabling her to effectively treat lower limb injuries—whether they occur during everyday activities or at the professional sports level. Her passion for sport is evident; she has represented the England junior ladies volleyball team and has a keen interest in both volleyball and running, which gives her a unique insight into sports injuries. Working only in the private health sector, Amy treats patients of all ages, from children to the elderly, using a biomechanical, non-surgical approach to identify and address the mechanical causes of musculoskeletal issues affecting the foot, leg, and back. She has extended scope training and a specialist interest in prescribing custom-made foot orthoses and ankle-foot orthoses. Amy's experience as a teenager wearing orthotics led her to pursue a career in this specialist field. In addition to her clinical practice, Amy is a published author, with research on knee pain featured in the scientific journal Musculoskeletal Science and Practice. She currently sees patients at three different locations across London. Typical conditions seen: • Bunions • Big toe pain • Painful flat feet • Tendonitis / tendinopathies • Heel pain / plantar fasciitis • Mortons neuroma • Metatarsalgia (forefoot disorders) • Arthritis & joint degeneration • Ankle disorders • Knee pain • Leg length differences • Hypermobility syndromes • Running overuse injuries • Running & walking analysis
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
