About Mr Ali Al-Lami
Mr Ali Al-Lami is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat and Head & Neck Surgeon based in Kent with over 10 years of experience. He currently sees private patients at KIMS Hospital, Spire Tunbridge Wells Hospital, Sevenoaks Medical Centre, One Ashford Hospital and Spencer Private Hospital Ashford. Mr Al-Lami completed his medical degree with distinction, alongside his intercalated Bachelor's degree with first class honours in anatomy at the University of Leeds (2008), at Barts & The London School of Medicine in 2009. After graduating, he completed his postgraduate ENT training in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery. He also completed tertiary level training in paediatric ENT at Great Ormond Street Hospital and Evelina London, as well as a fellowship at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2011 and received his Diploma of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2012. In 2018 he became a Fellow in Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and in 2020, Mr Al-Lami completed his Master's degree with distinction in International Health Management at the University of Sheffield. Mr Al-Lami sees patients with a wide range of conditions, including: sleep disorders, tonsil and adenoid problems, parathyroid problems, thyroid problems and voice problems. He has expertise in airway surgery, thyroidectomy (thyroid surgery), septoplasty, reduction of inferior turbinate, functional endoscopic sinus surgery, parathyroidectomy, rhinology surgery, robotic surgery, adenoidectomy and tonsillectomy. Alongside his clinical work, Mr Al-Lami is actively involved in ENT research. He has published several papers in peer reviewed journals and frequently gives lectures. He is passionate about teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students and founded the multidisciplinary robotic surgery course for his medical students.
