Seine Weiterbildung absolvierte er unter anderem am Klinikum Lippe Detmold, akademische Lehrkrankenhaus Klinikum Bielefeld, Campus Lippe, Abteilung für Plastische und Ästhetische Chirurgie, Klinik mit Zulassung BG-SAV, und Replantation Zentrum für Handverletzungen (05.20-12.21). Davor war in Asklepios Klinikum Schwalm-Eder-Kreis, akademische Lehrkrankenhaus Philipps-Universität Marburg, wo er sowohl in der Allgemein- als auch in der Unfallchirurgie und Orthopädie tätig war. Doctor-medic Petre hat sich durch zahlreiche Fortbildungen, darunter in Stipendien für Handchirurgie (FESSH) in Italien und Forschungsprogramme in der Tschechischen Republik und Italien, weiterqualifiziert. Zudem engagierte er sich in freiwilliger Arbeit und leitete als Student eine Organisation für praktische chirurgische Kenntnisse in Rumänien (SSCR). Seine umfangreiche Ausbildung wird durch Zertifikate in Strahlenschutz und Notfallmedizin sowie durch Teilnahmen an internationalen Workshops und Kursen im Bereich der Mikrochirurgie und Sonographie ergänzt.
