Dr. Alaeddin Saghir is a Consultant Endocrinologist with over 25 years of international experience in endocrinology and diabetes. He is French Board Certified in Endocrinology, Diabetology, and Metabolic Diseases, having completed his clinical training at the prestigious L’Archet University Hospital of Nice in France. Prior to relocating to the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Saghir practiced in both public and private hospitals in France and Syria.
His clinical expertise encompasses the management and prevention of diabetes across all age groups, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid nodules, parathyroid, pituitary, and adrenal disorders. Dr. Saghir is skilled in performing thyroid ultrasounds and has specialised in managing growth and puberty issues in children and adolescents. He also addresses women's endocrine concerns, including amenorrhea and hirsutism, and manages gynecomastia and other sexual health issues in men.
In addition to his primary qualifications, Dr. Saghir earned a Diplôme d’Université in Cancerology from the University of Marseille in 1991. He is an active member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and the Endocrinologues et Diabetologues de Nice (EDEN) Association, and was awarded by the Municipality of Aleppo for Scientific Creativity in 2008. His contributions to the field are further demonstrated through numerous presentations and published reports on rare endocrinological cases at international congresses.
