Akash Lal

Akash Lal is a Senior Physiotherapist at The Medical, practising in Bath and Midsomer Norton. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of L'Aquila, Italy, graduating in 2016. He has worked across a range of specialties in private practice and sports therapy, including providing pitch-side trauma care, injury assessment, and rehabilitation for Wells City FC. In 2017, he undertook an ERASMUS placement at Isokinetic London - FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence.

In 2019, he moved to Somerset, working in the community with home visit assessments and treatment, and later at Practice Plus Group Hospital in Shepton Mallet, where he gained further experience in managing post-operative rehabilitation for both upper and lower limb conditions.

He is the only physiotherapist in the UK certified by the inventor of the Global Postural Re-education (RPG/GPR) method, a treatment approach that evaluates and treats the human body as a whole. His clinical interests include sports medicine, orthopaedic rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, musculoskeletal care, scoliosis, and posture.
