The practice takes pride in providing the highest Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) screens. This state-of-the-art machinery enables the capture of detailed images of the back of the eyes, including the retinal layers. Utilising OCT, Staples Opticians can detect abnormalities at an exceptionally early stage, aiding in the early diagnosis of eye conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and retinal detachment.
The practice also offers a new Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS), providing an alternative to Accident & Emergency for the diagnosis and treatment of minor eye conditions. This includes addressing issues like red eyes, dry eyes, ingrown eyelashes, eye irritation or inflammation, painful eyes, and sudden reduced vision.

Staples Opticians works with major contact lens suppliers, providing options ranging from daily disposables to toric multifocals.
