Therapie werden multimodal von einem multiprofessionellen Team durchgeführt und umfassen ein Bezugsbetreuersystem, die Milieutherapie, verhaltenstherapeutische Interventionen, sowie ärztlich-psychologische Einzel- und Elterngespräche.
Das gesamte Team setzt sich engagiert für die seelische Gesundheit der Patientinnen und Patienten ein. Dabei vereint das Kbo – Heckscher Klinikum München Experten aus den Bereichen Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie, Psychotherapie, Psychologie, Therapie, Sozial- und Heilpädagogik sowie Pflege und Erziehung. Alle Verfahren und Therapien orientieren sich am neuesten Stand wissenschaftlicher Forschung. Das Klinikum gilt seit 2000 als akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus der LMU München, wodurch ein besonders naher Austausch mit der Forschung stattfindet.
