Dr Trevor Baret is an experienced dental practitioner with a distinguished career spanning several decades, recognised for his expertise in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, snoring and sleep apnoea, early jaw development, and upper airway health. Dr Baret graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney in 1976. His commitment to continued professional development led him to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Orthodontics in 2018 and a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dental Sleep Medicine in 2020, both at the City of London Dental School in the UK.
In 1981, he became a foundation member of the Australian Society for Occlusal Studies. Recognising the need for a more integrated approach to managing TMD and occlusal disorders, he co-founded the Australasian Association of Orofacial Orthopaedics in 1985. This organisation is dedicated to educating dentists on optimising facial development, airway function, and musculoskeletal balance.
Outside dentistry, he has long-standing ties to Bronte Beach and has been an active member of the Bronte Surf Lifesaving Club.
