Mr Heeren is a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO) and a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmology (MRCOphth).
His research interests include medical retina, cataract surgery, and macular telangiectasia type 2 (MacTel). He has also developed two online courses for Moorfields Education, focusing on data science for clinicians.
