About
He has extensive experience in functional and cosmetic nasal surgery as well as all forms of sinus surgery. His areas of expertise include septorhinoplasty, rhinoplasty, septoplasty, sinus surgery, turbinoplasty, frontal sinus surgery, orbital decompression, nasal breathing issues, post-nasal drip, allergy, and sinonasal cancer. He also provides surgery for nasal polyps, chronic rhinosinusitis, and structural abnormalities of the nose.
Mr Biggs runs a dedicated rhinoplasty and septorhinoplasty practice within both the NHS and private sector. He regularly performs advanced rhinoplasty techniques including dorsal preservation, piezo (ultrasonic) rhinoplasty, structural rhinoplasty, and donor rib or fascia lata grafting for revision cases. He undertakes open and closed approaches and is experienced in primary and secondary rhinoplasty.
He qualified in medicine from Cardiff University and initially served as a British Army Medical Officer. After completing basic surgical training, he was awarded a National Institute for Health Research Academic Training Pathway in ENT. He gained higher surgical training in the Wessex Deanery, specialising in rhinology and facial plastics, and completed a PhD in Rhinology. He subsequently undertook the British Rhinology Society Advanced Rhinology Fellowship and an additional fellowship in Advanced Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery.
Mr Biggs has published over 60 peer-reviewed articles, delivered more than 30 national and international presentations, and has been awarded over 25 prizes and fellowships. He is on the GMC Specialist Register for Otolaryngology (ENT) and is a member of ENT-UK, the British Society of Facial Plastic Surgery, and the British Society of Rhinoplasty Surgeons. He is Board Certified as a Cosmetic Nasal Surgeon through the Royal College of Surgeons accreditation programme.
