About Dr Thomas Gin
Dr Thomas Gin is an Ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained medical retina specialist with expertise in cataract surgery and retinal disorders including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease and retinal vascular disorders. Dr Gin graduated with honours in Medicine from the University of Melbourne in 2013, achieving the top rank in his clinical school final-year examinations. Following his residency, he completed ophthalmology surgical training based at the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital in Melbourne. Subsequently, he completed further fellowship training in medical retina. With a commitment to serving both private and public sectors, Dr Gin remains engaged in research and teaching. He has authored research articles on age-related macular degeneration. Additionally, he contributes to the education and training of trainee ophthalmologists in his role as a consultant at the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear and Austin Hospitals.
