Nach dem Abschluss ihrer Facharztausbildung war sie mehrere Jahre als Oberärztin in einer Klinik für Innere Medizin tätig. Sie ist Mitglied der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Innere Medizin und der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Allgemeinmedizin und Familienmedizin.
