About

Dr. Stephen Coogan is a fully qualified general practitioner and member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. He has extensive experience with particular interests in areas including paediatrics, surgery, medicine, woman's health and mental health. He have also worked with elite sports people as a club doctor for a professional football club, giving him experience with sports related health.

As a general practitioner Dr. Coogan has an interest in all aspects of medicine and he is passionate about providing a holistic approach to patient's general wellbeing and health so together solutions can be found to the best happiness and benefit to every individual. Dr. Coogan enjoys consulting with every patient but he does have particular interests in those individuals who are experiencing unexplained symptoms, mental health issues, men's health, obesity and cardiovascular risk reduction or those people who are suffering with chronic fatigue and feeling tired all the time.

Most problems can be discussed and my initial opinion given within a standard 30 minute consultation. However, Dr. Coogan would advise if you are experiencing a complex problem, such as chronic / long term unexplained symptoms or tiredness, that a one hour consultation is advised in the first instance - to allow the time to cover the social, psychological and physical aspect of all problems. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Coogan also works within the NHS on a regular basis at Waters Edge Medical Centre in Middlewich.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
