They have a particular interest in working with people who feel subject to their thoughts or impulses, rather than in control of what they do. It is important to Dr. Stewart that their practice is safe and affirming, including for people from the LGBTIQA+ community and culturally diverse backgrounds. Their practice is informed by knowledge of systemic injustices and their effects, and the impacts of interpersonal and other forms of trauma.
