About Mr Simon Bennet

Mr Simon Bennet is a Paediatric Orthopaedic Consultant. He specialises in the assessment and management of a wide range of childhood orthopaedic conditions, from assessing limbs and walks to checking painful feet or injured knees and wrists. As a surgeon, he has expertise in performing many different types of orthopaedic operations. However, he is also experienced in making recommendations about non-surgical treatments for children, such as physiotherapy, splints, and insoles. Mr Bennet graduated from Edinburgh Medical School and pursued his orthopaedic training in Bristol and Sydney. He is very passionate about his work, and he enjoys getting to know families and helping their kids get back on track to maximise their potential. He has a great deal of experience performing orthopaedic surgical procedures on children's arms and legs, ranging from treating flatfeet and ankle injuries to removing bony lumps or ganglions. He is also very knowledgeable about how to rehabilitate patients back to normal function and participation in sports. Additionally, he has sub-specialist interests in assessing and treating babies and children with foot and limb deformities. He runs a CTEV (clubfoot) service with his colleague, and is also part of the neuromuscular team that assesses and treats arm and leg problems in children with cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders.

"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
