Dr Shady Abdelsalam is a Specialist Oral Surgeon, with a wealth of cross-cultural experience. He earned his Bachelor of Dental Medicine and Surgery in 2007 and achieved Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2012. His dedication to advancing his expertise led him to complete a Master’s degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Cairo University in 2016, followed by the Arab Board Fellowship in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, in 2018. He is driven by a passion for oral health and research, and went on to earn a Master of Public Health from La Trobe University in 2020. Shady then obtained Membership of The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2023.
Dr Abdelsalam brings an approachable and calming manner to his practice, helping patients feel at ease while delivering expert care. His clinical interests include the surgical extraction of wisdom teeth, dental implants, bone grafting, and managing temporomandibular joint disorders. Outside of his professional life, Shady enjoys quality time with his family, playing soccer and squash, reading, and swimming at the beach. His commitment to learning and passion for patient care ensure the highest standard of treatment for all his patients.
