Dr Sara Salama is a highly qualified Neurologist with a focus on neuroimmunological disorders. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to her patients, utilising her extensive clinical and research experience to manage a range of neurological conditions. Dr Salama is committed to staying at the forefront of her field to ensure her patients receive the most current and effective treatments available.
Her clinical interests are centred on neuroimmunology, with a particular emphasis on Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) and Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody-Associated Disease (MOGAD). She has a deep understanding of the complexities of these conditions and is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through specialised care and ongoing research.
Dr Salama earned her MD and PhD from the Faculty of Medicine at Alexandria University. She completed her neurology residency at Alexandria University hospitals and later became a faculty member in the Department of Neurology. Dr Salama also undertook a fellowship at the Johns Hopkins NMOSD clinic and was awarded an MSIF-ARSEP McDonald Fellowship in 2021. She is also an honorary research fellow at University College London (UCL).
