Acerca de
Mr Salil Umranikar is an experienced Consultant Urologist seeing private patients at The Runnymede Hospital and The Princess Margaret Hospital. He earned his medical degree at the University of Mumbai in 1995, followed by his Master of Surgery degree at the same university in 2000. He later completed his specialist training in Urology, obtaining the Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in Urology from New Delhi in 2005. Mr Umranikar later moved to the UK, where he continued his urological training in the West Midlands rotation. In 2015, he became a Fellow in Urology of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and in 2017, he became a Fellow of the European Board of Urology.
In 2017, Mr Umranikar was appointed as a Consultant Urologist at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Within his department, he remains an active member, engaging in a variety of activities such as audits and research. He is deeply involved in training and mentoring junior doctors, providing guidance and supervision from foundation year level to senior registrars. He also serves as a clinical and educational supervisor to Foundation Year trainees and as a Clinical Supervisor to senior trainees.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Umranikar has also actively contributed to research in urology, participating as an Investigator in numerous international drug trials. His passion for academic and scientific pursuits is evident through his presentations and publications at national and international meetings and conferences.
