About

Rob Coffey is a multifaceted professional, blending his diverse experiences and extensive training to offer holistic healing and personal growth. As a university lecturer, he brings a wealth of knowledge. With a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Integrative Psychotherapy from Dublin City University, Rob is an accredited psychotherapist (MIACP) and transpersonal therapist. His journey in therapy extends to shamanic practices, having obtained qualifications as a Shamanic Counsellor from the Irish Centre for Shamanic and Transpersonal Studies.

Rob's exploration of consciousness and healing encompasses various modalities, including Jungian psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). He is engaged in the realm of psychedelic-assisted therapy, undergoing specialised training with organisations like the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS).

With a rich background in outdoor education and adventure, Rob draws on over 20 years of experience guiding individuals in challenging mountain and river environments worldwide. He believes in the therapeutic power of nature, leading him to integrate nature-based practices into his therapeutic approach. Rob is a passionate advocate for reconnecting individuals with themselves, others, and the natural world.

His spiritual journey includes intensive yoga practice since 2008, resulting in his certification as a Yoga Alliance Teacher (200 RYT) on Maui. He has also immersed himself in Amazonian curanderismo, undertaking numerous dietas with Shipibo curanderas in Peru, and exploring shamanic traditions across North and South America and Africa.

Rob is dedicated to ethical practice and harm reduction in the realm of psychedelic therapy, co-authoring a code of ethics for plant medicine facilitators and contributing to the development of professional guidelines in the field. As a co-founder and facilitator of men's circles in Dublin, Rob is committed to fostering community and supporting personal growth.

Through his unique blend of academic knowledge, therapeutic expertise, and spiritual wisdom, Rob Coffey offers a transformative journey towards healing and self-discovery.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”

— Rob Coffey
