Dr Rayya Alshohef is a Specialist in Pediatrics with more than six years of clinical experience working in hospitals across Syria and the United Arab Emirates. She provides comprehensive pediatric care for infants, children, and adolescents, with experience managing both general and specialised pediatric conditions.
She completed her medical training at Damascus University and went on to obtain a Master’s degree in General Pediatrics from the University Children’s Hospital in Damascus. She also holds a Diploma in Pediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and has successfully completed the first step of the Arab Board of Health Specializations examinations.
Dr Alshohef is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and remains committed to ongoing professional development and evidence-based pediatric practice.
Her clinical expertise includes the care of newborns and children with allergy and asthma conditions, infectious and non-infectious illnesses, growth and developmental disorders, nutritional concerns, and pediatric gastrointestinal conditions. She also has extensive experience in preventive pediatric care, including childhood immunisations and routine developmental monitoring.
Known for her compassionate and family-focused approach, Dr Alshohef works closely with parents to provide clear guidance, reassurance, and personalised care plans that support the long-term health and wellbeing of children.
