During his tenure, he also served as Clinical Director for five years.

He played a pivotal role in establishing and running an annual postgraduate diploma course focused on computer-assisted knee surgery, teaching surgeons the principles, applications, and practical techniques of navigated knee replacement surgery. Beyond his clinical and educational roles, Mr. Abu-Rajab is an active contributor to orthopaedic governance and policy. He is a member of the Scottish Government Advisory Group for Hip Fracture Care and serves on the Scottish Committee for Orthopaedics and Trauma, where he helps shape standards and strategies for orthopaedic treatment in Scotland.
