During his tenure, he also served as Clinical Director for five years.

He is a member of the Scottish Government Advisory Group for Hip Fracture Care and serves on the Scottish Committee for Orthopaedics and Trauma, where he helps shape standards and strategies for orthopaedic treatment in Scotland.
