He has a clinical interest in the assessment of throat problems and was one of the first surgeons in the UK to perform neck ultrasound and ultrasound-guided needle biopsy. Professor Homer typically treats patients with common ear, nose, and throat issues, such as a lump in the throat sensation, recurrent tonsil infections, nasal blockage, sinus issues, and facial pain. He also has a wealth of experience in cosmetic rhinoplasty and has received national recognition for his work, having successfully completed over 1000 procedures.
Additionally, he has had his work published in over 100 peer-reviewed journals and received more than £1.5 million in research grants during his tenure.
