In 2019, he achieved a notable distinction by being awarded the British and European Hand Surgery Diplomas. His training included international exposure to renowned hand units such as the Mayo Clinic, the Christine Kleinert Hand Institute in the USA, and Ganga Hospitals in India.
Specialising in hand and wrist surgery, Mr. Kodumuri addresses conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and Dupuytren's contracture. He has performed approximately 1,000 hand surgical procedures, including carpal tunnel surgery, Dupuytren's contracture treatment, joint replacements, WALANT (wide awake hand surgery), and wrist arthroscopy.

In addition to his clinical practice and sustainability efforts, Mr. Kodumuri maintains an active role in research, with multiple papers published in peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Hand Surgery, European Volume. He is a clinical tutor for the British Diploma in Hand Surgery affiliated with the University of Manchester and serves as a faculty member for the Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons revision courses in Oxford, Manchester, and Mansfield.
