He received his medical training at Guy's Hospital in London, where he graduated in 1980. He subsequently worked in a number of different areas, including dermatology, respiratory medicine, and gastroenterology, before finishing his general practice training in 1987. Dr Williamson then opted to work in the city following several years of working in both the public and private sectors and has remained there ever since.
Dr Williamson was previously based at a practice in Maida Vale, West London, where he treated a diverse range of patients from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds and became a senior partner in 1995. He was also a GP trainee and the Director of the Central London Out-of-Hours service during this time.
He has a wide range of medical interests, including dermatology, nutrition, psychology, and addiction.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
