Seine Ausbildung zum Facharzt für Psychiatrie und Neurologie schloss Dr. Poszvek 1991 ab. Im Jahr 1996 folgte das Diplom für Psychotherapeutische Medizin der Österreichischen Ärztekammer. Im selben Jahr erlangte er die Qualifikation als Psychotherapeut für Systemische Familientherapie und wurde in die Psychotherapeutenliste des Bundesministeriums für Gesundheit und Frauen eingetragen. Im Jahr 2008 erhielt Dr. Poszvek die Approbation zum Facharzt für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapeutische Medizin.
