About Dr Peter Finigan
Dr. Peter Finigan is a highly regarded GP with expertise in vascular medicine. He completed his medical studies at the University of Liverpool, including a period of training at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in the United States. His early career included hospital medicine at Royal Liverpool University Hospital Trust, where he gained experience across multiple surgical specialties including general surgery, ENT (ear, nose, and throat), and emergency medicine. Dr. Finigan furthered his career as a Principal and Trainer in an NHS medical practice in Cheshire and later became a founding partner of The Stamford Clinic. He currently serves as the Chief Medical Director at UK Vein Clinic, where he specialises in varicose veins, and varicose vein treatment. His clinical focus also includes deep vein thrombosis. As a member of the Expert Witness Institute and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, Dr. Finigan is recognised for his contributions to vascular medicine and his leadership in developing specialised care pathways. He played a pivotal role in designing the thread vein care pathway at UK Vein Clinic and leads the thread vein team across multiple locations including London, Manchester, and Thames Valley.
