Dr Nizar Samarrai is an experienced Specialist Paediatrician at Kairon Polyclinic with over 30 years of experience. He has dedicated his expertise to the well-being of children in the UK, Middle East, North Africa, and Gulf Areas. He has expertise in a range of paediatric diseases, including both endemics and epidemics.
Dr Samarrai’s experience includes neonatal resuscitation, intubations, and the meticulous care of low birth weight infants at the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU). He is experienced in growth and development follow-up, vaccination administration, and the comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care of sick babies and children.
Dr Samarrai also has specialist interests in respiratory infections, failure to thrive, and autism in children.
Dr Samarrai completed his medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Istanbul, Turkey in 1975, followed by his Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ireland (RCPS) in 1982. He became a Fellow of the Iraqi Board for Medical Specialisations (FICMS) in Paediatrics in 1987.
