About Mr Nikolaos Mamas
Mr. Nikolaos Mamas is a highly accomplished Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with extensive expertise in Cataract surgery, vitreoretinal surgery, and medical retina. He brings over 15 years of specialist experience in Ophthalmology and is known for his patient-centred approach, clinical precision, and commitment to excellence. Mr. Mamas completed his medical degree at the University of Athens before undertaking specialist Ophthalmology training and earning a PhD from RWTH Aachen University in Germany. His advanced sub-specialty training took place at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, where he spent six years refining his surgical and clinical skills. In his clinical practice, Mr. Mamas specialises in Cataract surgery and offers a wide range of premium intraocular lens options designed to help patients achieve spectacle independence. He is also highly experienced in managing a variety of retina conditions, including epiretinal membranes, macular holes, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusions.
