About Dr Nik Spinthakis
Dr. Nik Spinthakis is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist based at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. With a specialist interest in cardiac electrophysiology, he is particularly focused on complex arrhythmia management and advanced pacing techniques, including left bundle branch pacing. Dr. Spinthakis has extensive clinical experience in the field of cardiovascular medicine. He undertook a prestigious fellowship at the Bristol Heart Rhythm Centre, where he advanced his expertise in complex electrophysiology and cardiac device implantation. Prior to this, he completed his cardiology specialty training in the South West of England at Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Trust. Dr. Spinthakis holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Thrombosis from the University of Hertfordshire and earned his primary medical qualifications (MBBS) from the University of Patras. His commitment to academic excellence is also reflected in his role as an editor for the European Heart Journal – Case Reports (EHJ-CR), where he contributes to advancing cardiovascular research and education.
