Physiotherapy
About
Ms Read began her career within an acute hospital setting, allowing her to gain experience in all the areas of physiotherapy before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. After spending years treating patients for musculoskeletal conditions in both NHS and private settings, she gained the opportunity to work in hand therapy. Over the last 7 years, she has managed a variety of conditions, ranging from chronic conditions to acute and post-operative management.
Specialising in hand therapy has given her the opportunity to focus her professional development in one area, enabling her assessments and treatment modalities to be refined and effective. Her assessment and treatment revolve around each person and their expectations and goals, ensuring that each of her patient's treatment is tailored according to their needs. She is described by colleagues and patients as being caring and, importantly, she has a true passion for what she does.
Outside of work, she likes to keep herself healthy and fit by running and doing HIIT training.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
