Dr Nancy Israel is an experienced Specialist Paediatric Oncologist at NMC Royal Hospital Sharjah with over 11 years of experience. She completed her medical degree at Cairo University, Egypt, in 2007 followed by her training in paediatric haematology and oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Egypt. Following this shw went on to complete a Master’s degree in Paediatric Haematology and Oncology in 2016. Dr Israel also holds a Diploma in Hospital Administration and Management from Ain Shams University, Egypt.

Dr Israel's has expertise in a wide range of cancers, including acute leukaemia, lymphoma, brain tumours, renal Wilms tumours, bone and soft tissue tumours, hepatoblastoma, and Langerhans cell histiocytosis within the realm of paediatric oncology. She also has expertise in the management of non-malignant blood diseases including haemolytic anaemia, immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), and other forms of anaemia.

Dr Israel has experience performing essential diagnostic procedures such as bone marrow aspiration and biopsy, as well as the administration of intrathecal chemotherapy and the management of chemotherapy complications. She is a strong advocate for early diagnosis and diligent follow-up care for paediatric oncology cases.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Israel has been a speaker at both national and international conferences, including a recent presentation, titled "Pattern, Management, and Impact of Chest Metastasis on Survival Outcome of Osteosarcoma Patients”. She has authored several peer-reviewed publications, research papers, and presentations. Her latest research work surrounds the early detection and presentation of paediatric malignancies.
