Ms Louise A McCullough is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon practising at Albyn Hospital, with expertise across trauma, sports injuries, hand surgery, orthopaedic oncology, and general orthopaedics. She has a particular specialist interest in the management of both acute and chronic sports injuries.
Ms McCullough graduated MB ChB from the University of Dundee in 2002 before undertaking her basic and higher surgical training on the North of Scotland Rotation. She later achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCSEd Tr & Orth) and also holds a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Alongside her clinical practice, Ms McCullough has extensive experience working in elite sport. She has been involved with the medical team for Aberdeen Rugby and has also worked as part of the medical team for the Scottish Rugby Union (SRU), further developing her expertise in sports-related injuries and rehabilitation.
She is an active member of several professional organisations, including the British Orthopaedic Association, British Orthopaedic Oncology Society, and the Orthopaedic Trauma Association. Outside of medicine, she was notably the first female to pass selection on Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins.
