About Mr William Grant
Consultant ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) Surgeon Mr William Grant is a skilled surgeon who is trained in a variety of ENT procedures. He sees both adult and paediatric patients with any ear, nose, or throat or salivary gland condition. He has interests in all aspects of nasal and sinus surgery and paediatric ENT surgery.
Mr Grant qualified at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1984 before completing registrar training in Dublin. Following this, he undertook a master's degree in surgery before completing senior registrar training at the Royal Free and Royal Surrey County Hospitals. He has also trained extensively in laser techniques in head and neck surgery at the renowned Laser Centre at University College London Hospital.
In 1996, he joined the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh as a Consultant ENT Surgeon with a special interest in Rhinology and Head and Neck Surgery. In 2001, he returned to London to become Clinical Lead for ENT at Charing Cross Hospital and at Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals. Mr Grant has worked alongside neurosurgical colleagues at Charing Cross, leading to the successful development of the endoscopic anterior skull base programme there. He also undertakes collaborative work at Chelsea and Westminster with craniofacial plastic and oculoplastic surgery surgical colleagues. In addition, he has worked with the Facing the World Charity group in Vietnam to operate on complex cases.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Grant is actively involved in research, examining sinus surgery applications and endoscopic anterior skull base surgery.
