Mr Sukh Rayatt is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon and a core member of the specialist skin cancer MDT at the University Hospital Birmingham. He went to school in Ealing in London, and undertook his medical training at St Thomas' Hospital Medical School, graduating in 1993. He began his Plastic Surgery training in London and completed his higher specialist plastic surgery training in the Midlands region, rotating through hospitals in Birmingham, Coventry and Stoke. He attained his specialist accreditation in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast) in 2005. Uniquely Mr Rayatt is also a Qualified Dental surgeon, having trained at Guys Hospital in London (BDS 1984, FDS 1993). He undertook a 6 month Specialist Microsurgery Fellowship at The Erasmus Medical centre in Rotterdam.
Mr Rayatt completed a 6 month fellowship in cosmetic surgery (2006) at the famous West London Clinic (10 years younger fame) training under prominent plastic surgeons such as Dai Davies and Jan Stanek. He was featured in the Discovery Channel ‘Plastic Surgery School' Series, and has appeared in ‘Real ER' ITV series as well as on BBC Radio Stoke and BBC 'Surgeons on the Edge' series.
Privately he performs all types of cosmetic surgery, specialising in Fat transfer and offers minimally invasive procedures and non surgical facial rejuvenation such as Fillers and Botox.
Academically, Mr Rayatt has written over 50 papers and book chapters on plastic surgery topics and has been published in prestigious British, American and Scandanavian plastic surgery journals. He is a reviewer for the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (JPRAS) and in actively involved in training Junior Plastic Surgeons. He runs a bi annual week long revision course for senior trainees about to take thier FRCS (Plast) 'exit exam', which has candidates from all around the world.
In his leisure time, Mr Rayatt is a keen golfer and enjoys photography and keeping fit.
