Mr Steve Bromage is a Consultant Urologist with specialist expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of urological cancers, particularly conditions affecting the kidneys. In addition to his work in cancer care, he manages a wide range of general urological conditions, including benign prostate enlargement, kidney stones, and male reproductive health concerns.
Mr Bromage graduated with an MB BS from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1999 and later achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Urology (FRCS Urol). Over the course of his career, he has developed particular expertise in renal disease and minimally invasive surgical techniques. Notably, he was the first surgeon in the UK to perform a laparoscopic partial nephrectomy using a novel green dye technique to clearly identify tumour borders during surgery.
His clinical practice also includes procedures such as circumcision and advanced microsurgical techniques. He has undertaken specialist microscopic training and offers microsurgical vasectomy reversal.
Mr Bromage is actively involved in research and has published numerous scientific articles, particularly in the field of male infertility. He is also committed to medical education and regularly teaches and lectures medical students and healthcare professionals holding a Certificate of Education from the University of Dundee.
