About Mr Simon Levy
Mr Simon Levy is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon who specialises in surgery on the front of the eye. He is also an advisor on cornea implants to the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE). He specialises in the following areas: • Cataract surgery • Laser eye surgery • Cornea surgery • Refractive Lens Exchange • Eye surface disorders His aim is to improve vision quality and reduce the need for glasses following refractive and cataract surgery. He is a pioneer in his field and was one of the first doctors in the UK to perform LASIK, and he also undertook the first no-suture cornea transplant in the UK. During his training, Mr Levy completed specialty fellowships at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and the Gimble Eye Centre in Canada. He holds the FRCS and FRCOphth degrees, as well as a research MD in cornea pathology. Additionally, he trained in internal medicine and received the MRCP (UK) diploma.
