After serving as a full‑time NHS Consultant at the Countess of Chester Hospital for 19 years — where he was Lead Clinician and senior consultant for the department — he now works full‑time in the private sector, offering a modern, comprehensive ENT service at Nuffield Health The Grosvenor Hospital, Chester.
Mr Temple is known for his broad experience across all major ENT subspecialties, offering expert diagnosis, investigation, and treatment for both adults and children. His practice emphasises thorough assessment, appropriate investigation, and personalised treatment planning with conservative management considered wherever possible.
Training & Experience
Mr Temple began his ENT career in 1991 as a junior doctor in Sheffield, followed by extensive specialist training across:

He also served for 12 years on the Nuffield Medical Advisory Committee as ENT Lead.
His recent publications on Bone Anchored Hearing Aid (BAHA) surgery outcomes have resulted in invitations to speak at leading international ENT and implant conferences.

Mr Temple's special interests include, Children's ENT including Hearing Loss, Grommets, Prominent Ears, Allergy, Snoring, Glue Ear, Ear Infections, Tongue Tie.
For adults, he has an interest in all aspects of the speciality, including Nasal conditions, Allergy, Functional and Cosmetic Nasal Surgery, Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Sinusitis, Snoring investigations and surgery, loss of smell, nasal bleeding.
Ear conditions encompassing, prominent ear surgery, hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo, ear infections, grommets, ear drum reconstruction and hearing reconstructive surgery.
Throat conditions including all aspects of investigation, diagnosis and treatment of a full range of voice and throat conditions.
