He now specialises in treating patients with shoulder and elbow problems and can offer advice for a wide variety of conditions including non-operative treatment. Many of the shoulder problems that require surgery is now treated as day case procedures. Open surgery like shoulder replacement and repair of large rotator cuff tear will be offered if indicated. Common conditions treated by him include impingement problems, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tears, calcium deposits, shoulder dislocation and micro fracture for early arthritis.He seeks innovation in the treatment but applies common sense to the approach. He introduced the use Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections for chronic tendinitis like tennis elbow for the first time in South West. He is a keen educator and holds Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Education and has active links with both local Medical Schools. By the virtue of this he keeps regularly updated with the latest developments in his field.
