About Mr Philip McCann
I have worked and trained in the UK, Europe, North America and Australia to broaden my exposure to upper limb surgery and equip myself with the diagnostic and operative expertise to deliver excellent patient care. I have developed a wide range of specialist skills that have enabled me to deliver a confident, modern orthopaedic practice. I obtained my primary medical qualifications at the University of London. I then undertook my surgical training in the South West region, principally within Bristol. Following completion of my training program I undertook further sub-specialist training as the Trauma and Upper Limb Fellow at the University of Western Australia, before returning to Bristol where I was appointed at the Bristol Royal Infirmary in 2014. During this time it has been my pleasure to deliver a contemporary, focused and energetic upper limb service with a focus on shoulder and elbow pathology.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
