Professor Nigel Hall is a renowned and respected Consultant Paediatric and Neonatal Surgeon with Spire Southampton and the Candover Clinic in Basingstoke. His NHS post is at Southampton Children's Hospital and he is Professor of Paediatric Surgery at the University of Southampton. He has experience spanning across all areas of general and specialist children's surgery and urology.
He offers minimally invasive treatments including keyhole surgery and is skilled in a multitude of surgeries including skin lesions, hernia repair, undescended testes, circumcision and tongue tie correction. Professor Hall qualified from Cambridge University in 1997 and completed an extensive training scheme in Cambridge, London and Southampton. He completed his paediatric surgical training at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London and the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada. His strong academic background has led him to be heavily involved in research and he is the UK lead for multicentre research.
He is on the editorial board of the journals Paediatric Surgery International, the European Journal of Paediatric Surgery and BMJ Paediatrics Open. He is a member of the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
