Shoulder and elbow surgery are a passion for Mr Ferran. One of his particular surgical interests is in performing shoulder and elbow surgeries under local anaesthesia when possible, with patients awake. This allows patients to have much shorter post-operative recovery times and avoids the risks of general anaesthesia, which may make surgery otherwise impossible for some patients. In 2017 Mr Ferran treated a 94-year old woman whom received two new shoulders, something that quite simply wouldn't have been possible had it not been for this approach.
