Mr Manu Mathew

As an ophthalmic surgeon with extensive training, Mr. Manu Mathew specialises in cataract surgery, intraocular lens surgery, refractive lens exchange surgery, and LASIK and LASEK laser eye surgery. He is on the Specialist Register for Ophthalmology, has received additional specialised training in refractive surgery, and is well-respected by his patients and peers. Before being appointed to the position of clinical lecturer and specialist registrar at the University of Nottingham, Mr. Mathew, a graduate of the University of Madras, trained at several teaching hospitals, including the Queen's Medical Centre at the University of Nottingham and the Tennent Institute in Glasgow. Prior to this, he worked as a consultant ophthalmologist at Chesterfield NHS foundation trust, where he was a specialist doctor tutor and had expertise in glaucoma, cornea, and external eye diseases. In addition to presenting research papers to his peers Mr Mathew has authored several peer-reviewed academic articles. He is an active member of several societies, such as the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the United Kingdom Society of Cataract, Refractive Surgeons. He has performed hundreds of successful refractive surgery treatments. Mr Mathew specialises in Nottingham, Birmingham, Leeds, and Wetherby. He performs, Lens Replacement Surgery, Cataract Surgery, Premium IOL surgery, and YAG laser, Laser Vision Correction (Lasik Lasik and PRK).
